CipherPulse is an independent educational app for iPhone and iPad. We built it for learners who want one steady place to strengthen online safety and understand AI tools — without noise, accounts, or clutter.
Inside the app you explore cybersecurity lessons in Vault, compare AI models in Nexus, practice prompts in Signal, follow skill paths in Ascend, and track everything in Pulse. Your progress, bookmarks, and achievements stay on your device.
Educational app only. CipherPulse does not provide VPN services, malware scanning, device security monitoring, or live AI chat. All content is bundled for offline learning. Works without an account, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

CipherPulse: Digital Shield is designed around local storage. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell your personal information.

This Privacy Policy describes how CipherPulse: Digital Shield (the "Application") handles information when you use our educational app. The Application is provided by Urban Republic Inc, 206B-375 St Albert Trail, St. Albert, Alberta T8N 3K8, Canada ("we", "us", or "our").
Information We Collect
CipherPulse does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location inside the app. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or usage profiling.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Learning progress — completed lessons, checklists, quizzes, and streaks
- Bookmarks and saved prompts
- Achievement unlocks and engagement statistics
- VPN literacy checklist states and security awareness score
- Onboarding completion status and app preferences
- Widget data shared via the app's App Group for Home Screen widgets
- Live Activity session state when you start a study or practice timer
How We Use Information
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. All app features — Vault, Nexus, Signal, Ascend, and Pulse — operate using data stored on your device. Prompt scoring and text classification run entirely on-device with no network requests.
Data Storage & Retention
All of your content remains in the app's private storage and App Group container on your device. There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us. Deleting the app permanently removes associated local data from your device.
Third-Party Services
CipherPulse includes no third-party analytics, advertising networks, or marketing SDKs. Educational content is bundled in the app and works offline. Optional external links in study guides (such as language-learning resources) open only when you tap them and are not required for core functionality.
Widgets & Live Activities
If you add the Home Screen widget or enable Live Activities, those features use Apple's system frameworks on your device. Widget data is read from local App Group storage. We do not receive the content of your Lock Screen or notification data on our servers.
Children's Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted to us, the app is suitable for general audiences under COPPA and similar standards.
Your Control
You can reset your learning progress at any time through the app. Remove bookmarks, clear achievements, or uninstall the Application to remove all stored content from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. The core commitment — local storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice.
